In the different environments found in this space (beds of rushes and reeds, extensive beaches, dunes and cliffs) such as the common ringed plover. You'll also discover species such as the mallard, the oystercatcher, the little egret, the teal, the grey heron, the common shoveler, the Eurasian curlew or the great cormorant.
More infoThe A Insua cove dune system separates the intertidal area of the Corme y Laxe estuary. This system comprises a set of shifting sand dunes. The sand goes up the sides of Monte Branco as far as the Alto de As Travesas, where the panoramic views are spectacular.
More infoLocated in a sheltered area of the Corme y Laxe estuary, Balarés beach boasts a fantastic location near Mount Branco. Shaped like a cove, its has fine white sand, relatively gentle waves and a pine tree-filled picnic area. Sun and shade for the summer in a place that until the 60s was the seat of a titanium mine.

After leaving Balarés beach, with its industrial history in the shade of the pine trees, we rejoin our Camiño da Ribeira hiking trail (PR-G 148), which will take us to the summit of Mount A Facha.
