The “percebeiro” is possibly the most iconic and risky of all jobs done within Costa da Morte area. This precious seafood is picked on Ponteceso coast from five zones very battered by the sea: famous Cape Roncudo, A Percebellosa, As Rosas, O Canteiro and A Grabiela.

From the mixture of river Anllóns freshwater with the salty one of Corme and Laxe Estuary we can taste a delicacy with proper name: the “cockles of Anllóns”. Until recently times anglers only needed a "trueiro", a torch and a lot of patience to get another delicacy coming from the Sargasso Sea, eels.

There are also many others that can speak about a not so far past that highlights a “cormelán” explorer in the South Seas, the cabotage tradition or the intensity of the overseas trade flowing throuhg the Anllóns estuary.

New Horizons

Next to an inspiring sea arose the idea of creating the Fundación Torre-Pujales, Museum of Contemporary Art Costa da Morte in which you can see, and wonder, with a complete collection donated by renowned international artists who spend stays Corme and Julio Pujales paintings.
